Teepol is a long-established UK detergent and cleaning-chemicals brand whose name was first used for a modern cleaning product developed in the UK in 1938. The business operating the Teepol Products range describes itself as a family-owned company with manufacturing operations based at a London site since 1964, producing and distributing cleaning liquids in the UK alongside ongoing development of specialist products for industrial and commercial users.
For UK welding and fabrication professionals, Teepol is relevant primarily as an industrial cleaning and maintenance-chemicals supplier rather than as a welding-equipment manufacturer. Its core specialisms are liquid detergents and cleaning formulations used across workplaces, with product categories spanning general-purpose detergents and degreasers, floorcare, washroom and surface cleaners, disinfectants and sanitisers, and specialist items such as leak-detection solutions used in industrial gas environments. In the UK market, Teepol products are sold directly via the company’s own channels (including trade supply in larger pack formats) and are also available through UK industrial cleaning and janitorial distributors, making the brand most visible to fabricators through workshop hygiene, parts cleaning and facilities-maintenance purchasing rather than through welding consumables supply.
