- Bare corrosion resisting chromium-nickel rods with excellent general corrosion resistance.
- Low carbon content minimizes risk of intergranular corrosion.
- Widely used in chemical and food processing industries, as well as for pipes, tubes, and boilers.
- Suitable for joining stainless steels (18% Cr-8% Ni) and Nb-stabilized steels if service temperature ≤ 350°C.
- Can also be used for welding Cr-steels except in sulfur-rich environments.
- Alloy type: Austenitic (approx. 8% ferrite) 19% Cr - 9% Ni, low carbon.
- Classified to EN ISO 14343-A: W 19 9 L; SFA/AWS A5.9: ER308L; Werkstoffnummer: ~1.4316.
